2022: Greatest Hits
It was another great year working with some amazing organizations, on issues as diverse as U.S. militarism and voting rights to access to affordable healthcare and climate finance.
Here are just a few of the things we accomplished in 2022:
Secured coverage for a major insulin rationing study in USA Today, CNN, Boston Globe, ABC, CBS and more.
Obtained exclusives in NBC News, Bloomberg, Politico, and more uplifting reports and advocacy demands.
Supported a project tracking companies that are seeking financing for fossil fuel expansion through the bond market.
Worked with coalitions of national organizations and grassroots activists on events to ensure accountability for the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
Secured op-eds in USA Today, Dallas Morning News, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Charlotte Observer, Newsweek, Detroit Free Press, and more.
Supported the Costs of War Project, 2022 winner of the U.S. Peace Prize for its research shedding a light on the human, environmental, economic, social, and political costs of U.S. Wars.
With Public Citizen and allies, helped fight for access to medicines globally, and Medicare for All and lower drug prices in the U.S.
Worked alongside some of the best and brightest researchers and advocates on peace and security, public health, climate change, voting rights, and more, and committed journalists reporting on these issues.
Honorable mention: Whipping out a Rocky GIF for a media training for democracy activists! (Shadowboxing to the Rocky Theme song – or other fight song of your choice – is a great way to loosen up and feel confident right before a media interview.)
I hope you all have Happy Holidays, and look forward to connecting in the 2023!
